Hand-turned salt pot filled with La Palma sea salt

Since 1967, the salt pans have been in the protected biosphere reserve of Fuencaliente in the south of the Canary Island of La Palma. Artisan expertise passed down from sons to grandchildren helps maintain the consistent quality of the Sal Marina Teneguia brand. On an area of 35,000m², 500 tons of sea salt are extracted per year. The natural extraction of the salt - the gradual evaporation of the water through the sun's rays as the only influence of the weather - guarantees the consistent quality of this fully ecological product. However, it is the unique and balanced taste with a high proportion of minerals and magnesium that makes this sea salt so popular and special.

Annika Schüler works and lives in Munich and implemented our idea of this individual Sagitta salt pot for us. It is made of porcelain, hand-thrown on the potter's wheel and fired at 1,240 degrees. The glaze is unique and limited, food safe and the potty can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
