The Sagitta Probiotic Deodorant is the first cream deodorant with live microorganisms. The probiotic bacterial strains can help the delicate underarm skin to regain its biological balance and neutralize odors. Together with rich shea butter, cold-pressed coconut oil, and vitamin E, they provide lasting care. Because only well-cared-for skin with a natural, intact skin barrier regulates sweat production and can effectively prevent it. The result is an odor-free and dry underarm – all without aluminum, alcohol, preservatives, or perfumes. The deodorant itself is also odorless.

Our probiotic deodorant is freshly made several times a week. It was dermatologically tested on sensitive skin in a clinical study and received the certificate "Very Good."

Natural Ingredients

The Sagitta Probiotic Deodorant contains only seven (!) ingredients. They are all so natural that even allergy sufferers, pregnant, and breastfeeding women can use it without concern.

The ingredients are sustainable and palm oil-free. Of course, we avoid all chemical additives, heavy metals, pesticides, preservatives, parabens, and microplastics.

Make sure your deodorant contains no harmful ingredients like aluminum. However, many aluminum-free deodorants wear off by midday, leading to sweat and unpleasant odors. But it doesn't have to be that way. Sagitta's probiotic deodorant supports an intact skin barrier and can thus prevent sweat production.

Our deodorant is the first of its kind worldwide because it contains so-called good bacteria known to benefit our gut flora. But they can also have a positive effect on the skin. That's why our probiotic deodorant contains “good” lactobacilli and bifidobacteria. As long as the deodorant is not used, they remain dormant. When the cream deodorant is applied, the water in sweat activates these bacteria.

The probiotics are combined with raw materials like shea butter, potato starch, and coconut oil. So you could even eat it, although it probably won't taste good to you. Since the deodorant is so healthy, you can simply reapply it during the day if you feel it's necessary. This sometimes happens during the first uses until the skin gets used to the change. If you didn't have time to shower, you can also apply the deodorant as is.

Our tip: If you sweat a lot during the day, try applying the deodorant at night. This allows the active ingredients to work more intensively with your body, making the deodorant even more effective during the day.

HOW THE MAIN INGREDIENTS WORK

Microorganisms (Probiotics): the so-called “good” bacteria for the probiotic deodorant consist of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria species found throughout the body and help restore the balance of the skin flora, which is often massively disturbed by showering and aluminum.

Shea Butter is obtained from the fruit of the karité tree, which grows in Africa. The seeds are traditionally hand-processed into a butter-like plant fat that contains a high proportion of skin-friendly fatty acids and vitamin E. Shea butter provides the skin with plenty of moisture and soothes the feeling of dry and irritated skin.

Vitamin E is a collective term for fat-soluble substances, including the tocopherol used here. It helps protect the skin and repair damage to the skin barrier. Together with vitamins A and C, vitamin E belongs to the antioxidants whose task is to protect the skin from free radicals.

APPLICATION

Apply about a hazelnut-sized amount to clean, dry skin and massage it in over a large area. It then spreads very thinly, nourishes the skin, and supports the “good” bacteria in their work. One jar should last at least four weeks.

If you have used an aluminum-containing deodorant for a long time, skin regeneration and care may take a few days. Therefore, we ask for some patience and perseverance.

Is there NO aluminum in Sagitta probiotic deodorant?

Correct, and we have also avoided all other harmful substances. Preservatives, perfumes or fragrances, silver ions, aluminum – our deodorant doesn't need any of these. In our view, it also makes no sense to rub or spray these sometimes highly irritating substances on one of the body's most sensitive areas.
Our Sagitta Probiotic Deodorant is made from raw materials that can also be found in food. It hardly gets more tolerable and sustainable than this.

What does probiotic mean?

A probiotic cosmetic is a preparation that contains live microorganisms. While probiotic food for a healthy gut flora has been around for some time, probiotic skin care is still quite new. The mode of action is similar: we add live GOOD bacteria in the form of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria species to our probiotic deodorant, which occur throughout the body and can help regenerate the skin flora.
To ensure they can do their job well, we continuously produce the deodorant fresh and limit its shelf life to six months.

What is special about probiotics?

Humans cannot live without microbes such as bacteria. Thousands of bacterial strains help us digest food, strengthen our immune defense, and build a protective shield on the skin. The sum of all microbes is called the microbiome. Poor diet, preservatives, or detergents massively weaken the microbiome. Good bacterial strains like lactobacilli can modulate the microbiome and thus support regeneration.
What does the deodorant smell like?

Since our probiotic deodorant contains neither perfumes nor fragrances, it is odorless. Perfume and fragrances, in our view, do not belong on the sensitive underarm area. Not only do our female customers appreciate this, but many men who use the deodorant also value the neutral scent.
Why do you have potato starch, baking soda, and beeswax in the deodorant besides shea butter, coconut oil, and natural vitamin E?

Potato starch is a prebiotic and thus food for the bacteria. Baking soda keeps the pH value in the right range in the small amounts used, and beeswax is needed as a consistency agent so that the bacteria and starch are evenly distributed in the deodorant. No more ingredients are necessary or desired.
Is the deodorant well tolerated?

A clinical study on particularly sensitive women and men rated our deodorant as “very good.” So far, customer feedback has been simply great: from extremely satisfied to enthusiastic. The deodorant has real fans!
Is there anything else to consider when using it?

Yes, if you have used an aluminum-containing deodorant for a long time, skin regeneration and care can take two to four weeks. Switching from another aluminum-free deodorant may also require a few days for the skin to adjust. A little patience is sometimes needed during the initial application.
